Geo-Localized advertising is a new technique that uses the geo-positioning coordinates sent through a mobile device, to interact with the user and guide him to a local store or send him coupons and promotions.

A typical example of the application of this technology is in advertising and promotion. A user could be sent a message (SMS o e-mail) o be invited in a store, to subscribe to a promotional game or activity. The user can register to the game by SMS or on web. Once registered to the game, the users receives and SMS message with the instructions on what to do. For example look for something in a place near his location, or receive instructions and be guided through GPS mapping to the nearest shop to spend a coupon or receive a special gift.

The pecuiliarity of marketing activites done through this technology is the fact that the client can be literally taken physically to the point of sales. It brings the client to the shop.
